Hardik Pandya’s comeback trail has moved into focus again. The India all-rounder, who has not played competitive cricket since IPL 2026, has been included in India A’s one-day squad for the upcoming series against Australia A, with his participation still subject to fitness clearance.

The Men’s Selection Committee has named separate India A squads for the multi-day and one-day legs of the series, which will be played in Puducherry from September 22 to October 11. Devdutt Padikkal will lead the red-ball side, while Ruturaj Gaikwad has been appointed captain of the white-ball squad. Sai Sudharsan will be Padikkal’s deputy in the multi-day games, and Padikkal will return the favour as Gaikwad’s vice-captain in the one-day matches.
