David Beckham Cashes In £39m as World Cup Deals Boost Profits

David Beckham has turned a busy summer of global brand deals into another major payday, collecting a £39 million dividend as the commercial engine behind his name delivered record results. A run of World Cup-linked campaigns across the US helped push the former England captain’s business empire to new highs, with revenue and profit both rising sharply.

World Cup campaign frenzy powers record year

Beckham appeared in roughly a dozen advertising campaigns during the tournament period, working with major brands including Lenovo, McDonald’s, Bank of America, Verizon and Lay’s. That burst of visibility proved commercially powerful, helping DRJB Holdings post revenue of $110.5 million, up from $92.3 million the previous year.

Pre-tax profit also climbed strongly, reaching a record $65.7 million, a 46% increase on 2024. For a brand built on long-term global recognition, the latest figures underline how Beckham continues to convert star power into sustained business momentum.

What the numbers say

Metric Latest Figure Previous Year
Revenue $110.5m $92.3m
Pre-tax profit $65.7m Up 46%
Dividend paid $51.1m $53m

DRJB Holdings paid out $51.1 million to shareholders last year, slightly below the $53 million distributed a year earlier. Beckham received about 45% of that total dividend after selling a 55% stake in his businesses to Authentic Brands Group in 2022 for £200 million.

Filings also show a further $61.6 million in special dividends this year, taking Beckham’s total payout to about $51 million. The result reflects a business model that is increasingly driven by brand partnerships, licensing, production and international media reach rather than football alone.

How Beckham’s brand machine keeps expanding

The company behind Beckham’s commercial interests is split into three main divisions. DB Ventures handles much of his partnership work, including deals with premium brands such as Hugo Boss. Seven Global covers licensing agreements, including with Adidas, while Studio 99 manages production work.

That mix has given Beckham’s brand a broad footprint across fashion, sport, entertainment and lifestyle. In addition to his World Cup campaigns, he launched menswear collections for Hugo Boss, an eyewear range with Safilo and a limited-edition Predator football boot with Adidas.

He also secured a new deal for Beckham & Friends Live on Paramount+, which aired around the UEFA Champions League. Another high-profile appearance came in a Stella Artois campaign alongside actor and producer Theo James, tied to the second season of Netflix’s The Gentlemen.

“What these results show is that behind the Beckham brand is a strong and highly effective team,” said Corey Salter, chief executive of entertainment at Authentic Brands.

Salter added that the group is built with “financial discipline and strong fundamentals” to keep growing profitably beyond 2026. The comments point to a long-term strategy rather than a one-off spike from a single sporting event.

Beyond football, Beckham remains a global commercial force

Beckham retired from professional football in 2013, but his post-playing career has become one of the clearest examples of athlete branding in modern sport. His name now stretches far beyond the pitch, with business interests in supplements, snacks, fashion and media.

He is an investor in IM8, a supplement company he co-founded in 2024, and BeeUp, a honey-based fruit snack business. At the same time, Studio 99 continues to build his media profile after producing the four-part Beckham documentary for Netflix in 2023 and Victoria Beckham’s documentary last year.

The latest numbers show that the Beckham brand still has strong commercial pull, especially when paired with premium sponsors and major sporting moments. With World Cup visibility, global licensing and media projects all feeding into the same ecosystem, his business empire appears to be operating at full throttle.

For Beckham, the latest dividend is not just a personal windfall. It is also another sign that his post-football brand remains one of the most valuable in sport and entertainment.
